Russia continued its intense overnight strikes on civilians and energy infrastructure, killing at least five people and causing major damage in Odesa, Kharkiv, Sloviansk, and Kyiv. Attacks also targeted Naftogaz facilities in western Ukraine.

Kyiv’s Troieshchyna neighborhood, one of the city’s largest, remains without power and heating after the destruction of its thermal power plant, affecting around 300,000 residents.

Meanwhile, Poland and Ukraine have agreed to increase gas imports from Poland starting in February, boosting capacity to help stabilize heating for homes and critical infrastructure.
