Alpenjäger-Marsch - Styrian Anthem and Austrian March

Описание: Alpenjäger-Marsch (German for: March of the Alpine Hunter) is a march song from the imperial days of the Austro-Hungarian crown-land (province) of Styria. Located in the southeast of Austria, Styria is renowned for it's towering mountains and beautiful rivers. With its snowcapped alps and fertile valleys, Styria evokes the most charming aspects of the Austrian countryside. The singers, fondly recalling the landmarks of their homeland, recount the rivers and mountains by name, expressing their love for the country they call home.
The March of the Alpine Hunter is a recomposition by Rudolf Kummerer based on the Styrian anthem 'Dachsteinlied'. The Dachstein mountains are a mountain chain in Styria; the Mürz and Drav are major rivers flowing down from the alps.
A slower re-adaptation of the song is what today is the "Steirische Landeshymne" (Anthem of the Federted State of Styria) and it is the anthem of the modern day Federate State of Styria, in Austria.
