For some reason, my city likes to keep bike lanes closed during construction until they are 100% completed. Yet, driving lanes and sometimes sidewalks remain open during construction. If my city was actually following its own policies, sidewalks and bike lanes would be opened as soon as it was feasible, even if this meant keeping some or all driving lanes closed.
