Wow! Wow again! An altogether remarkable yirdaki made by Djalu. Faultless acoustics. Listen to Djalu's son Larry Winiwini and you'll know what I mean... rhythms almost literally glide off the tongue. The yirdaki is fast, complex, capable of turning this way and that, has a sweet spot in its overtone note, and is light for a Djalu at only 3.3 kg. The fundamental and overtone note both play in the key of E. Back pressure is nice and comfortable, high but not excessively so. Because walls are relatively thin, there is good resonance and ambience with this stick.
