The BBC Says I Don’t Have Enough to Retire. Do I Agree?

That got me thinking.

In this video, I take a look at the UK’s retirement living standards and compare them with my own experience of retiring at 56.

At the moment, my income is barely the minimum retirement standard. Even when I receive my full State Pension, I’ll still be much closer to the minimum than the moderate figures often discussed in the media.

So am I worried?

Not particularly.

I talk about what retirement means to me, why I chose to leave the corporate world, the difference between income and freedom, and why I believe “enough” is a deeply personal question.

This isn’t financial advice.

It’s simply one woman’s thoughts on money, retirement, authenticity, and creating a life that feels rich in ways that aren’t always measured in pounds and pence.
