This video has been getting some criticism from the fanservice part so I’m going to copy and paste something I made on another post here for the reason why I dislike it:
Probably the thing I’ve seen a lot of people hating on me for was me not liking fanservice on my things I dislike about Danganronpa video. I’m not sure if i stated it in a weird way, but keep in mind in that video I said “unnecessary fanservice.” If you like fanservice, no shame to you, idc. The main thing I don’t like about Danganronpa fanservice is sexualizing characters with SA trauma or literal kids, and how comedic it’s handled. I usually use three main examples: Mikan, Hiyoko, and Kotoko. Mikan because I don’t like how they would do that to a character with SA trauma. It’s fine if it’s handled correctly (kinda like Gachiakuta with Amo, although she’s pretty sexualized, it’s not handled in a comedic way despite having SA trauma) but the comedic way it’s handled doesn’t really stick right with me, considering I know people who have gone through stuff like this. Hiyoko, because there’s literally a secret scene of her with no clothes despite her looking like a nine year old. On top of that, in the files there is apparently an uncensored version of her shower scene with Mahiru showing everything. And of course, Kotoko. I’m pretty sure you all know about “the motive”. Yeah, imma leave it at that. I honestly still don’t think it’s right to sexualize teenagers, but at least it’s a LITTLE more acceptable when it’s with characters like Tenko or smth who hasn’t really had trauma with this stuff. Still don’t like it, but I hate what they do to other characters more. I’ve even shown some of my friends these hate comments ive gotten over this stuff, and they agree with me lol. JUST MY OPINION THOUGH IM FINE IF YOU DISAGREE!
