In this video, I’ll walk you through a real-life example of people-pleasing; then we’ll break it down to see the internal processes that drive it. Finally I’ll show you what it can look like to respond differently, with more intention, so you can keep being a helpful, caring person without draining yourself.
📌 ABOUT ME & MY CHANNEL
If you’re new to my channel, my name is Dawn Ascanio. I help driven but drained women stop people-pleasing and over-performing in everything they do, so they can live with more ease and peace. Through 18 years as a therapist, my work as a therapeutic coach, and my own lived experience, I’ve seen what actually works to stop people-pleasing in a sustainable way. I’ve helped many women recover from people-pleasing and other patterns in the same family (like over-achieving, over-efforting, excessive striving, etc.) so they can reclaim their time, energy, and mental bandwidth to focus on what matters most to them. My channel is all about sharing insights and practical strategies toward this end.
