In the debut episode of HAWKEYES: The First Season with Iowa Women’s Wrestling, the University of Iowa launches its historic women’s wrestling program, the first of its kind in Power Five history. Head coach Clarissa Chun brings together a roster of elite athletes from across the country, each with their own story, struggles, and reasons for chasing this dream.
This takes place during the 2023-2024 wrestling season.
Meet Kylie Welker, Bella Mir and Lilly Luft and dive deep into their stories to see how their lives have shaped them into who they are today.
From the first team meeting to the opening dual inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena, Episode 1 captures the emotion, pressure, and pride of building something entirely new and the powerful personalities driving it forward.
