My name is Elijah Slayton, and I am based in the United States. I am a graduate of Johnson & Wales University with a Bachelor of Arts and currently pursuing my MFA at Emerson College. I would like to sincerely thank Hashtag Kalakar for selecting my work and giving me the opportunity to share it on such a meaningful platform.

My creative journey in writing and art began in childhood, starting with one-off stories that gradually evolved into longer works and explorations across multiple genres. Creativity has always been an inherent part of who I am, something I feel compelled to channel into my work. Writing, in particular, helps me process deeper emotions, while other creative outlets—such as cooking, playing the guitar and ukulele (both self-taught), and painting—allow me to explore what I can create within each medium.

I truly appreciate Hashtag Kalakar for recognizing the potential in my work and providing a space where artists and writers can express themselves freely. From my experience, Hashtag Kalakar is a genuine and trustworthy platform that supports creative growth and gives emerging voices the chance to be seen on a global level.
