🔵 KNM2024 Panels: 100% eHDV Registrations - How Do We Get There?

Описание: During the first half of 2024, truck registrations in Europe rose 3% reaching 183,295 units. Diesel trucks remain dominant, accounting for 95.7% of new registrations. The Electric Heavy Duty Vehicles (eHDVs), however, accounted for 3,499 units, marking a 51.6% increase and raising their market share to nearly 1.9%, up from 1.3% the previous year. The highest number of eHDV registrations was recorded in the German market, which accounted for 1,848 vehicles, representing 53% of zero-emission truck sales in the EU in the first half of 2024.

Panelists will reflect on what political, regulatory and technological steps are essential to accelerate the transition to all-electric heavy-duty vehicles. Charging infrastructure challenges, investment costs and cooperation between the public and private sectors will be discussed. The discussion will also cover battery innovation, new business models and necessary changes in logistics. Experts will share experiences from different regions and sectors, exploring what strategies are most effective in promoting the electrification of heavy-duty vehicles. The panel aims to identify best practices and establish a course of action that will lead to the full electrification of vehicular registration in the forthcoming decades.
