Government is set to create regional satellite tourism centers with the aim of promoting tourism while collectively conserving urban forest reserves and the environment as a whole.
Four cities of Mbale, Mbarara, Gulu and Kyenjojo, have been earmarked to host these regional satellite tourism centers.
Already, National Forestry Authority has signed a memorandum of understanding with Uganda Wildlife Education Center demonstrating commitment to undertake the assignment.
