M338 chase to Dubuque & BNSF Aurora Sub Action in Iowa (READ DESCRIPTION)

Описание: On Tuesday January 13th, 2026. I went up to chase M338 with a CN SD75ACC Leader and also with that at Waterloo, they added extra power to the train for an amazing consist including an Iowa Northern F40, EJ&E Switcher & CN SD60, also forgot an ex Citirail, which is now owned by CN. I chased this all the way from Winthrop to Dubuque. I unfortunately didn't get to chase much into Illinois due to the timing of daylight and the train pretty much sat tied down all day in Dubuque Yard with not even much of the switching started. I then went over to East Dubuque to see if I could catch anything and only ended up with 3 trains including a westbound sand train, the westbound Savanna to La Croose, WI local, & eastbound Z with a CSX Tier 4 gevo 2nd in tow. It wasn't the best day that I hoped for, but, I'll take it, especially with the last warm day for temperatures in January, which is pretty rare for this time of year in Iowa. Idk, when I'll be back out again, but probably when it warms up again. Otherwise, that's all for now.
