In this let's play Starbound Glad Giraffe combat update video, we check out all of the new types of weapon you can find in chests, from the bodies of dead armed NPCs or by crafting and upgrading existing weapons.

We look at boomerangs - a non-consumable, throwable weapon that you can dual wield. We examine both the basic version and the three craftable upgrades: Molten Boomerang, Frozen Boomerang and the Lunarang.

We also look at chakrams, which are similar to boomerangs but only travel in the straight line. We test out the regular version and the upgrades: Neo Chakram, Hard Chakram and Saw Chakram.

Then we look at fist weapons, including the craftable but weak boxing glove, the brass knuckles and the gauntlet. The gauntlet can be upgraded by crafting into the Claw Glove, the Stun Glove and the Vine Fist.

Finally we check out the remote grenade launcher, the translocator and the flamethrower.
