We listed our FSBO on Zillow without using the MLS and sold it in one day for above asking. Since we didn't have to pay a Realtor we got to keep all the money...as it should be.
Full disclosure, I am a Realtor. Many FSBO's end up paying a buyers agent. That's not always a bad thing because the agent then handles the paperwork. DO NOT let an agent gouge you with the ridiculous notion that they need to charge you more because they have to all the work.
In fact, it's completely OK to negotiate a lower fee than the agent asks for.
