Demystifying Shopify's "California: By Jurisdiction Report" for CDTFA's Schedule A

I am just some random person who is creating a walk thru video of how I personally would fill out the Sales and Use Tax Return for California for the year 2025. I could have done it completely incorrectly.

Goals:
1. Find and demystify Shopify's jurisdiction report for use in Schedule A
2. Explain a bit about jurisdiction codes
3. Demonstrate one way of filling out the California Sales and Use Tax Return using only Shopify data
4. Make you more comfortable with the verbage used by CDTFA and explain what they are asking for
5. Get you comfortable with using Google Sheets
6. Provide a method that does not depend on short human-readable order reports (i.e. a method that works for reports of such great length that you couldn't possibly go in line by line to add up all necessary $ amounts).

I was inspired to make this video because I was baffled by Shopify's generated reports section. In fact, I was so baffled, that after looking for any help on the web (and finding none) I contacted the CDTFA, and out of the goodness of their heart that rep spent a good 6 or so hours on the phone with me because they too were mystified by how Shopify's reports are not conducive for filling out California's Sales and Use Tax Return. So, I am meagerly attempting here to relay the information they explained to me.
