The National Trust's £7.5 million project to create a stunning wetland nature reserve on the site of a former golf course at Sandilands, near Sutton-on-Sea, on the Lincolnshire coast is nearing completion.
The scheme will feature open water, islands, as well as ponds and and reed beds on the 25 hectare site. Beautiful walkways, a new visitor hub, and a fabulous cafe, will ensure that visitors are well catered for.
It is anticipated that the new wetland reserve will encourage more diverse wildlife and migratory birds.
Sandilands forms a vital part of the National Trust's commitment to protecting nature and tackling climate change.
The reserve will provide a peaceful and calm space for people to walk, spend time with friends and family, and enjoy the beauty of nature and the great outdoors.
