Описание: In this video, I walk you through, step-by-step, the process by which you should answer a 'presents his/her advice' type writer's effect question in your IGCSE English Language B (9-1) exam.

This video discusses the SQuID process of writing an answer for the Writer's Effect Questions or the Text Analysis Questions.

This was a live online class taken during the Covid-19 pandemic, so please don't mind the poor audio quality.

In this lecture, we look at Q3 from the November 2021 paper and how to answer it using the SQuID structure.

The key steps are as follows:
(1) S = Statement. The writer uses a DEVICE,
(2) Qu = Quotation. 'QUOTATION'
(3) I = Inference. to [explain why the writer has used this DEVICE]
(4) D = Development. [explain the effect of the DEVICE on the readers / use word analysis / show perceptive analysis using witty comments]
