Описание: This week we are exploring an abandoned mountain village. Once a thriving community consisting of farms, homes, sawmills, logging camps, churches and cemeteries. Generations of families and their history are lost in these woods. Since the 1930’s Mother Nature has been slowly reclaiming them. The entire area was abandoned when it was cut off by construction of a new dam. The land was turned over to the state of Vermont and has remained since 1939. I love to explore places like this and get a sense of how life use to be. I like to picture these places as they looked long ago. Echos of the past are all around.
