This project demonstrates the design and implementation of a reactive finite state machine (FSM) using the Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense. The onboard RGB LED visually represents state transitions, while the Serial Monitor acts as a virtual input trigger.
The system cycles through the sequence DARK → RED → BLUE → GREEN, with both manual transitions (via ‘C’ key press) and automatic transitions based on timeouts.
It showcases the principles of embedded control, timing synchronization, and event-driven programming using non-blocking logic with millis().
