Jesus gave us a command that rises above all noise: John 13:34 “That ye love one another; as I have loved you.” This verse reminds us that even when streets burn with frustration and hearts cry out for justice, love must still lead. The call to respect law and order comes from Romans 13:1 “Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers.” 🚓 God uses authority to restrain evil and protect the innocent. We are also commanded in 1 Timothy 2:1 to 2 to pray for those in authority so we may live in peace. Even when tragedy strikes, we are not allowed to become hateful. Christ calls us to walk in truth and love at the same time.

God’s law stands above man’s law as declared in Acts 5:29 “We ought to obey God rather than men.” 📖 Yet God’s highest command toward others is love. Romans 13:8 tells us to owe no man anything but love. We may disagree about borders, budgets, and leadership, but Mark 12:31 still commands us to love our neighbor.

When human laws drift away from God’s truth, we stand on His Word, just as Psalm 119:142 says His law is truth. ⚔️ Yet we do not conquer by hatred. Romans 12:21 commands us to overcome evil with good. Love is the weapon of the Kingdom.
