Because of the comments about the background noise. Here's some additional information:
Lionel likes to tell stories to a small audience well after the days official program has ended. At a previous Armadacon, Lionel used the Hotels reception area where it was nice and quiet. However, the venue had been changed and the only space available was the main function room. As a result, it was a bit noisy (The Bar was even worse for chatter).
As a result, it appears that Lionel was doing an official programmed event and people were disrespecting him. This wasn't the case. This was something that Lionel did around 11pm on the Saturday night on his own initiative.
