Thanks for all the nice comments on the "reveal" gameplay video (watch it here:    • Ristar 2 Fangame (update #001) : Sequel Pr...   )! As you might've noticed in that video, some assets/art were closer to completion, whereas other assets (like the unfinished background and temp water) were quickly thrown together for the demo video. I'm able to devote only a few hours to this project a week since it's just for fun, but rest assured I'll keep on trucking along!

I've received a few constructive comments regarding Ristar's modified design and how it looks a bit... well, off. It was the first piece of art I completed for the project as I was trying to really nail down the overall art style and design (slowly getting there!). Being the hero, Ristar's art is arguably the most important asset in the entire project! I'd like to make this the best Ristar fan game it can possibly be, one Ristar fans can get behind, so I've scrapped the old model and started redesigning him from scratch, keeping closer to the original art/design by Yuji Uekawa. Please note this is still very much a WIP, and I'll continue tweaking and adjusting the proportions to better capture the feel of our classic five-pointed hero. That being said, I'm always open to feedback - please tell me if you were down with the old design, or prefer the new (more accurate) design. Or hey, if you despise both, that's totally fine too - I want to hear your thoughts!

Lastly - I've gotten a few e-mails asking about a playable demo. Unfortunately, to be on the safe side and avoid a potential C&D (even though Sega is thankfully pretty chill with non-monetized fan projects), I'm holding off on releasing anything playable at the moment. Of course, the MOMENT any of that changes and I've fixed some bugs, I'll make an announcement and share a download link!
