The Last (Online) Fights | MultiVersus

Today was the shutdown of the online servers for MultiVersus, A.K.A "Smash Bros but WB." It had a strong start in 2022 during its prelaunch and open beta phases, before a downtime in 2023 and then relaunch in 2024 brought about issues that caused the game to be marked for shutdown this year. While a lot could be said about how and why it failed, a lot MORE could be said for how the game has impacted those who did play it, and the fans it managed to earn regardless of its faults. Say what you will of MultiVersus, but it had a charm we may not see again, not until either a new Smash game or the next big platform fighter at all.

Or at least, for those who didn't play during Season 5. There's a reason I put Online in parenthesizes: the game is still available to play for those who logged in during Season 5. As a fan of this game myself (even though it took me THIS long to actually start doing videos of it), I decided to get in on the action while I still could, both so that I could enjoy the game for what it was now and enjoy it still long after later. Here are my final fights in MultiVersus's online, edited together in quick succession for your viewing pleasure.
