Описание: In this video we show you Rudolf Steiner's Walking O - Health Exercise. It is performed by two people.

Rudolf Steiner describes the O as ‘every rounding of the limbs joining together, combined with the feeling of a loving embrace.’
‘The O already brings us into a more intimate relationship with that which we take in. So that the O becomes essentially gestural when not only does the person feel himself, but starting from himself, also feels another thing, or feels another being that he wants to embrace.’

Now, just as with the arm movement, we walk the O as a round shape, as a circular shape on the floor.
We start standing behind each other and we remain facing forwards throughout the exercise. We move anti-clockwise. One person starts their shape, the other continues the movement. This way, one movement flows into the other.
We keep moving, first increasingly faster and then slowing down again.

Now we do the whole exercise and simultaneously we make an O with the arms.

This health exercise strengthens the midriff and therefore the entire respiratory system.

Rudolf Steiner's described this health exercise as follows: ‘Now let's think of the movement in such a way that one of the ladies stands here, the other here, one behind the other; when you arrive, [she] [...] performs this walk, but in such a way that she always looks forwards, then, as the movement continues, you perform this walk here, you perform this; you let one movement flow into the other and accompany this with the O-posture of the arms. Now, of course, you have to get the people doing this to start at a certain speed; slower at first, but then let them do it faster and faster, letting the fast flow into the slow. This is a movement that can serve to strengthen the midriff and therefore the entire respiratory system.’

He continued: ‘Again, if you leave out the O movement with the arms, a healthy person can join in; but of course it's best if you do this with two people who need this recovery.’
