In their daily production, Kavli are lifting blocks of cheese weighing up to 20 kg. On a normal day, the amount of cheese lifted can easily surpass 10 tonnes – which naturally came with risks for the staff. To solve this issue, while maintaining the high levels of cleanliness required, they implemented TAWIs stainless steel vacuum lifters.
These are mounted in an aluminum overhead system and are equipped with food grade silicone suction cups. The lifters also have quick disconnections, so that the entire suction foot can be mounted off in seconds, and then easily be thrown into the dishwasher.
