In the picturesque village of Askham in Cumbria is Askham Hall. Dating back to the 13th century, the Hall is a Pele Tower incorporating 14th, 16th and early 18th century elements in a courtyard plan. Its splendid formal garden with terraces of herbaceous borders and topiary, dating back to the 17th century are complimented by a meadow area with trees and pond, kitchen gardens and animal trails. Enjoy this glimpse of one of Cumbria's most beautiful old houses and gardens.
