Linerless printing labels are a type of label designed without the traditional backing or liner that most labels use. In standard label rolls, the label stock is attached to a backing paper (the liner), which provides stability during printing and peeling. Linerless labels, however, eliminate this backing layer entirely.

Linerless labels are made from a continuous roll of adhesive-coated paper or film. The adhesive is on the back of the label material itself, which means there's no separate backing paper.

When using linerless labels, the printer applies heat to separate the label from the roll, then cuts the label to the desired size. Since there's no backing paper to peel away, the labels can be more flexible and often easier to handle and apply.
