The definition of preposition may be--- A preposition is a word used to connect nouns, pronouns, noun phrases, noun equivalent to other words within a sentence. Prepositions are usually placed in front of noun and pronoun. Sometime preposition works as adverb and conjunction also. There are different kinds of prepositions.

"The book is on the table"

In this sentence 'on' is a preposition. Here 'on' is used in front of a noun "the table" and indicating a relationship with the word 'the table' with other words of this sentence. So, on is a preposition here. Most important prepositions that we use in our day-to-day life are- on, in, for, by, with, from, into, among, between, over, under, bellow, inside, outside, up, down, beside, through, across, after, before, etc. People apply many tactics to learn preposition. Learning correct uses of preposition is really tough. But it is a matter of joy that there are a lot of known tactics of learning preposition like preposition circle, preposition pyramid of time and location, fighting preposition or mutuality of preposition, appropriate preposition etc. I am going to show you all of these tactics of learning preposition step by step in my preposition playlist.
