Exciting changes are afoot in OpenStack networking. During the OpenStack Ussuri cycle the Neutron team adopted the networking-ovn ML2 plugin and turned it into a native driver maintained in the main Neutron code repository.
Open Virtual Network (OVN) is a system to support virtual network abstraction for a fleet of Open vSwitch switches.
OpenStack networking has a lot to gain from the move to OVN, and you can expect a steady stream of improvements and new features in coming cycles because of it.
But what do I do with my existing clouds?
Can I migrate my legacy Neutron ML2+OVS deployments to OVN?
