O God, my God! How long, O God? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?

How long must I wrestle with my thoughts
And hold sorrow in my heart day after day?

Look at me and answer me, O God! My God!
Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep the sleep of death.

But I trust in your unfailing love;
