We kicked off the morning by checking out of our cozy Airbnb and heading toward the famous Wineglass Bay — or so we thought. Thanks to an ancient GPS sending us the wrong way, we ended up on a surprise detour along the Great Eastern Drive, and honestly… it was one of the best parts of the trip.

Along the way, we stopped at the charming town of Oatlands, drove through Swansea, grabbed coffee at Wattle Banks, and even enjoyed a spontaneous picnic lunch at Mayfield Beach. The coastal views were absolutely stunning, and you’ll love the mishaps, laughs, and hidden gems we stumbled upon.
