Hi, welcome to Deaf Talks News.
Today, we are talking about an amazing engineering marvel which happened in China.
This is a bridge called the Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge.
This looks like it is hanging in the air, with no pillars in the middle.
Many people wonder: How does it stay strong? Let me explain.
The bridge is in Guizhou Province, southwestern China.
It crosses the Huajiang Canyon at a height of 625 meters taller than most skyscrapers.
The total bridge length is 2,890 meters.
The main span, which has no middle pillars.
This is possible because it is a suspension bridge.
In a suspension bridge, the road deck hangs from huge cables.
The main cables run from one side of the canyon to the other.
Before opening, engineers tested the bridge with 96 heavy trucks, totaling 3,360 tons.
The results showed the bridge is safe and stable.
The bridge opened in 2025.
It is now the tallest bridge by deck height in the world.
It also reduces travel time from two hours on mountain roads to just two minutes.
This bridge is not just a record breaker.
They used drones to build this bridge. Technology has been developing at an advanced stage.
