Illyus & Barrientos have been a firm staple of the Toolroom Family for many years. The Scottish House music maestros have penned some absolute cult-classics on the label including ‘Shout’, ‘The Promise’ and ‘So Serious’ that sits on an impressive 10m streams. Their club heater ‘D.A.N.C.E’ dropped in the Summer of ’24 and saw some incredible DJ support from MK, James Hype, John Summit, Chris Lake and loads more, cementing them back on the club circuit in a big way!
Their most recent Toolroom release, 'Zapata' takes a "Housier" route and digs more into the roots of Illyus & Barrientos with that seriously funky bassline, lush organ licks and some tribal vocals to boot. This is the first in a string of top-drawer releases coming from them on Toolroom in 2025, be sure to keep an eye out!
