How to Choose the Correct Screen Printing Frame Mesh Count

Описание: In this video Brian answers what mesh count you need for your print job. Whether it is for white ink, dark color/light color garments. Here are a few guidelines for choosing the right mesh count for you.

First is a 28 count mesh screen, or "screen door" mesh. This mesh count is good for printing glitter inks, shimmer inks, and high density inks. Nothing with high detail.

Next, is 60-110 Mesh Screen, white underlay. It has a smaller openings. The 110 mesh is most common among screen printers for everyday printing. Mostly used for opaque plastisol inks. A good use for this screen mesh count is when you don't want to under-base a bright color on a dark garment. For instance, if you want to print a bright yellow on a black t-shirt, you'll print-flash-print. The 110 mesh count is used for multi-color projects and underbase. The 110 is a staple to the screen printing industry.

Then there is the 125-160 Mesh Screen Count for multi-color screen prints. Usually for wet-on-wet, soft hand inks. Dark color plastisols on light garments, no flashing needed.

Lastly, the 180-305 for high detail prints. Consider these for half-tone printing. Used for high line dpi count printing.
