November, 2010.
"Fanfare for a New Beginning" was the winner of the 2010 Dallas Wind Symphony Fanfare Competition. The piece was premiered in Dallas, Texas by the University of Texas - Arlington Wind Ensemble as the opener to the Dallas Wind Symphony's concert that evening. The title reflects my own new beginning as a composer after having been focusing on the performance aspect of music for so long. It is scored for large brass ensemble and percussion.
