The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted a major search operation at the residence of senior Trinamool Congress leader and MLA Shaukat Molla in Canning, South 24 Parganas, following the pre-election explosion incident in Dakshin Bamunia. The blast reportedly occurred while crude bombs were being manufactured inside an abandoned house, resulting in the death of one person and leaving three others seriously injured.
