Engineer Nicholas Joe walks through the operation of a Plus Welker™ Gas Sampling System designed for an end-user in Taiwan. This system was shipped to a Welker Partner for installation.
The system is designed to sample natural gas on a timed or proportional-to-flow basis. Samples are collected in a 2000-cc CP-5 Constant Pressure Cylinder, which maintains the composite sample at pipeline pressure. Sub-samples can then be drawn off from the CP-5 into 300-cc CP-2 Constant Pressure Cylinders for analysis.
[*Note: The CP-5 is a DOT 3A cylinder and is transportable in the United States with a special permit; however, the customer will draw off subsamples into the smaller DOT 3A CP-2 Cylinders for transport.]
