Part 3. Fluid Refill and leveling
00:11 Prepare ATF Fluid(used OEM fluid).
00:19 Install fill pump onto fluid bottle. It is not 100% match fitting but it works.
00:44 Install pump tube onto fill adapter.
00:59 Fill the ATF (5~6 liters) enough to drain the excess amount later while leveling.
01:18 Get ready for old drain plug. Old drain plug will be used while leveling the fluid.
01:48 Install old plug before leveling.
Fluid Leveling : Matching right total amount of fluid when it's at proper working fluid temperature.
In order to do this, start the engine to warm up the ATF fluid in transmission until it reaches to working temperature. When it reaches to proper temperature range, ATF fluid needs to be drain until it drips intermittently based on the fluid leveling insert inside the pan.
02:17 Start the engine and shift through each gears while applying brake!
02:40 Put the car on flat surface.
03:39 Check the temperature. Range 35~45 in Celsius. Using temp. sensor gun for this. (with this method, try not to reach the temp. reading for upper limit which is 45 as it is checking the exterior portion of fluid contact)
Also scanning through OBD2 port method is available with proper scanner.
04:06 Drain the fluid. Use draining pan.
04:28 Once draining is done for proper fluid level, install new drain plug.(5mm Allen, 12 ft/lbs)
