Note the small flashes on the Compaq screen, this may mean nothing but I wondered if this was similar to "system beeps" information on the state of the computer.
It is possible that the drives are outdated or not working.
In both cases using a bootdisc (CD/floppy) nothing different happened during the boot.
The BIOS gives no option to recover the system in any way.
The computer was more than likely subjected to heavy virus attack.
The system only responds to ctrl+alt+del and f10
Infrequently get a message saying "162 system operations not set."
