The Purusha Suktam declares, “the Cosmic Being has thousands of heads, eyes, and feet (Sahasra Seersha Purusha Sahasraksha Sahasra Pad).” It is God who pervades the entire universe with His thousands of heads, hands, feet, and eyes. – Sri Sathya Sai

The central message of the Purusha Suktam is that the Purusha would consume Himself in the fire of creation, to create all the worlds. From this sacrifice did all of creation emanate.
