14th – Known as ‘The Suez Canal’, because of the ditch crossing the fairway at (long) driving range from the tee. The Suez Canal flows in to the ‘Swilcan Burn’, the drain flowing down the right hand side of the 14th fairway which marks the OOB. Allegedly named after St Andrews by our founder in fond memory of his Scottish antecedents?
