This piece challenged our dancers to find a balance between the rigid, rhythmic footwork of the Spanish and percussive styles and the soft, expansive flexibility of contemporary movement. Merging the grounded "earthiness" of Flamenco with the gravity-defying lifts of Contemporary was a massive technical hurdle, but our students pulled it off with breathtaking synchronicity and poise.
Under the mentorship of @rajasmitakar, the R1 Dance Studio family took to the stage for the first time. From beginners to advanced movers, witness 50+ dancers pouring their hearts into 10+ powerhouse performances.
This isn't just a dance show; it’s the beginning of a legacy.
