A video course for desktop simulator enthusiasts or Home Cockpit builders desiring to learn basic jet handling techniques.
Learn to hand fly your Desktop Simulator or Home Cockpit transport category jet with precision while employing the real world methods called "Pitch Plus Power Equals Performance".
The course is illustrated and demonstrated using X-Plane 12 and the Zibo Mod 737-800X. The Methods illustrated in the training lessons can be employed in Microsoft 2020 with PMDG and or any other simulated jet with acceptable aerodynamic modeling.
The Basic Jet Handling Course is focused on teaching basic hand flying skills without use of Flight Director, Autopilot or Auto Throttle.
Lessons will include:
Basic Flight Dynamics
Weight and Balance
Factors in Aircraft Stability
Selecting and tuning desktop controllers, throttles and rudder pedals
Setting up Camera Views for practice sessions
Evaluating your simulated aircraft for accuracy in flight dynamics
Use of Instruments for command inputs and performance measuring
Practice Maneuvers
THE COURSE IS NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR REAL WORLD AIRCRAFT INSTRUCTION, but the methods and techniques used may be applied in the real aircraft or Level D simulators.
