Jamie Knox, 22 year, from Edinburgh, has autism. He is taking on his biggest ever challenge this month when he runs a half marathon at the famous Silverstone Grand Prix race track. His journey to completing the race will be featured in a new video podcast series.
In this video, his Senior Support Worker, Bretton Murphy, describes the incredible changes that Jamie has made in his life. From being relatively unfit, Jamie discovered a passion for running and has made incredible progress – from running short distances to taking on a half-marathon on Britain’s most famous race track. He’s improved his diet, found a new confidence and achieved his life goals.
His team are running the race with Jamie, supporting him every step of the way – so the event is very much a challenge for them too! Bretton describes how they have prepared as a team and his pride in Jamie.
