Planana Bjelasnica, which surrounds this village, is a fantastic place for hiking and some winter sports if you visit it in winter. The village is impossible to visit in winter due to the harsh winter conditions and hiking can be dangerous even for more experienced hikers.

Lukomir is best experienced through the hiking trail from the village of Umoljani. The trail is several hours long, but it is a real pleasure to experience it in that way.
