Join me on a dual sport adventure to Bald River Falls as I ride my Honda CRF300L through scenic backroads and unpaved trails—far from the usual Tellico Plains and Cherohala Skyway route.
With the Bald River Falls bridge finally reopened after nearly two years of construction, I decided to take the road less traveled.
This 90-foot waterfall is located in the Cherokee National Forest. Once surrounded by early 1900s logging operations, the area is now protected wilderness. It’s one of the most accessible and photogenic falls in East Tennessee—and sometimes freezes into an icy spectacle during winter.
