Hi, my name is Christian Bates.

I'm an osteopath, a naturopath and baby expert at the Perrymount Clinic in Haywards Heath, and I want to give you one of my baby top tips today.

What I want to talk about today was a buzz word that's going around which is the microbiome.

Microbiome is basically your baby's gut bacteria, whether it has too much bad or not enough good, and what science is finding is that if your baby's had antibiotics close to their birth it's changing this microbiome -this good and bad bacteria.

And the problem is that this has a future effect on your child's health.

So, they've even found that years down the line, they have an increased chance of asthma and eczema and food allergies, and even obesity.

So, my big tip today is if you or your baby's had antibiotics around the birth, you should take a specialist probiotic, and this can help correct their microbiome or gut bacteria.
