What It Feels Like to Go Under Anesthesia

Описание: Many of you have been asking me what it felt like to go under general anesthesia for my thyroidectomy. My experience was very easy and I know many people are afraid of anesthesia (I definitely was!) so I wanted to share my experience to hopefully help ease some of the anxiety associated with it! I have been under anesthesia three times- twice for wisdom teeth surgery and once for my recent thyroid surgery. From what I’ve heard, they are a little different from each other. During my first surgery to extract 3 of my wisdom teeth, I actually woke up a little earlier than I was supposed to. I forgot to mention that in this video because I was focusing on the thyroid experience, but when I woke up, it wasn’t scary at all. I didn’t feel anything either. I just heard my oral surgeon singing and I tried to sing along with him haha. He told me to hold on just a second because I was coming out of anesthesia a little too soon, and not to worry because he was finishing up. Then I think they put me back under because I remember waking up again afterwards. For my thyroidectomy, even though I was very scared, it was an even easier experience with the anesthesia. No issues at all! It really felt like going to sleep and waking back up. Just like they say! Hopefully my story helps someone who is about to go through a similar experience.
