MetroTV, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al Busaidi in Geneva on Wednesday evening ahead of a new round of indirect talks with the United States. The meeting aimed to underscore Iran's position and views on the lifting of sanctions and nuclear issues. Previously, Araghchi stated that Iran would continue talks with the US with the determination to reach a fair and swift agreement. In response, US Vice President JD Vance claimed that Tehran was seeking to build nuclear weapons, even though Iran has repeatedly asserted that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes. This latest round of talks comes after two positive meetings held in Muscat and Geneva. The negotiations took place amid rising tensions between Tehran and Washington, with threats of military action from US President Donald Trump and the deployment of large numbers of troops to the region.
