Many people ask me one painful question again and again:
“What is the pattern of a narcissistic mother? How do we recognize her?”
Let me tell you the truth.
Not theory.
Not psychology books.
The raw reality.
From childhood itself, a narcissistic mother follows a fixed pattern.
First sign:
She will never let you move ahead in life—especially if you are a daughter.
Your growth scares her.
Your confidence threatens her.
She will constantly demotivate you.
Your friends will not be allowed inside the house.
You won’t be allowed to meet them either.
And behind you, there will always be a younger brother, trained and ready—
ready to spy on you,
ready to report every word you speak,
every step you take.
Because a narcissistic mother always trains her son.
You will slowly be made to believe that:
“Your friends are wrong.”
“Your friends are dangerous.”
“Only your mother is right.”
Third sign:
She will never let you become close to relatives.
She will poison your mind against them.
She will speak badly about them behind their backs.
Because she has two faces.
Inside the house—
you see her real face: controlling, jealous, cruel, narcissistic.
Outside the house—
she becomes a saint.
She tells the world:
“My firstborn is my life. I cannot live without her.”
But the truth?
She cannot live without her other son.
The younger one.
The golden child.
All your life, you will hear:
“You are useless in studies.”
“You don’t look good.”
“You are nothing without me.”
“Whatever I’m doing for you is good for you.”
But listen carefully—
that is the most dangerous lie.
She will destroy your relationships—
friends, relatives, well-wishers—
anyone you are close to.
And once your bond with them is broken,
she will maintain a good relationship with them herself.
Because now you are isolated.
And isolation is her power.
There is no medicine for this disorder.
The truth is harsh, but it is the truth:
This ends only when they end.
If you get a good job,
she will force you to leave it.
If you love your work,
she will push you into something else.
If you love singing—
she will say, “Dance instead.”
If you love dance—
she will say, “Do Bharatanatyam.”
Not because she cares.
But because confusion keeps you weak.
Her mind may look normal to the world,
but if you are her daughter—
she will destroy your mental health
without thinking even for one second.
Your pain gives her peace.
Your suffering gives her sleep.
Because she cannot do this to outsiders.
She can only do it to her daughter.
And yes—
relatives are also at fault.
They recognize this pattern from childhood,
but they never warn you.
They stay silent.
